The Freedom Committee of Orange County is an organization of veterans — not a veteran service organization — located in Costa Mesa, CA. Our mission is to bring Living History into the classroom by sharing stories from all generations.

Members, invited guests, and educators are welcome at the General Meetings on the second Wednesday of each month, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

It’s required to qualify for membership and to verify actual service.
The DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) is issued by the Department of Defense as a record of your military service.
The Freedom Committee of Orange County must verify each veteran’s service to meet the organization’s eligibility standards. Military awards must also be verified.

Each member gets an individual biography page showing their military history, a picture of their medals and awards, and a portrait in uniform. A current portrait also helps our staff and teachers identify you.
