The Freedom Committee of Orange County is an organization of veterans, not a veteran service organization located in Costa Mesa, CA. Our mission is to bring Living History into the classrooms by sharing stories from all generations. If you are interested in becoming a speaker, please fill out our short form on our contact page.

GET INVOLVED

Every second Wednesday of each month, the Freedom Committee meets at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 2850 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. Click here for map. They gather at 11:30 a.m. and enjoy a “brown bag” luncheon, and promptly start the program at 12:00 noon. The meeting ends promptly at 1:30 p.m.

LIVING HISTORY

The members of the Freedom Committee of Orange County bring with them a “Living History” of WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Middle East. Stories of Pearl Harbor, the Dieppe raid, Battle of the Bulge, D-Day, Air battles in the war torn skies of the South Pacific, over Fortress Europe, and even experiences of being Prisoners of War.
